STEAM Education

During STEAM Days, students had the opportunity to rotate for one hour through STEAM stations highlighting a specific hands-on scientific concept. Students rotated through each station for 15 minutes and built, designed and tested STEAM concepts. A Marble Drop challenged students to navigate a marble through a course from start to finish to learn how potential energy (stored energy) can be converted into kinetic energy (motion). Students also focused on learning about structures and teamwork when they were challenged to move cups around without touching them. Lastly, students attempted to build the tallest tower using only uncooked spaghetti noodles and packing peanuts while learning about balanced and unbalanced forces.
